This guide shows how to install IPTV applications on any Firestick using the Downloader app and a simple short code, instead of typing long URLs.
Step 1: Install the Downloader app
On the Firestick home screen, go to Find → Search.
Type Downloader and select the orange app made by AFTVnews.
Click Download / Get, then open the app once installation finishes.
If you do not see Downloader, check that your Firestick is updated and signed into an Amazon account.
Step 2: Enable installation from unknown sources
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options.
Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources (or Install unknown apps).
Make sure Downloader is set to Allowed.
This step lets you sideload APK files from trusted links and short codes.
Step 3: Open Downloader and use a short code
Launch Downloader from your apps list.
Stay on the Home tab; select the big URL/search box.
Instead of typing a full URL, enter your IPTV short code (example: 1234567) and press Go.
The short code works like a shortcut that redirects Downloader to a specific download page for your IPTV app.
For your service, replace 1234567 in the text and screenshots with your own IPTV app code that points to your APK download page.
Step 4: Download and install the IPTV app
After you press Go, wait a few seconds for the download page linked to that code to load.Scroll down and click the Download button for your IPTV app APK.
When the file finishes downloading, an install window will pop up.
Click Install, wait for it to finish, then choose Done.
When asked, you can delete the APK file to save space (optional).
Your IPTV app is now installed and will appear in the Firestick apps list.
Step 5: Open the IPTV app and sign in
From the Firestick home screen, go to Apps & Channels → See All and select your IPTV app.
When the app opens, select Login with Xtream Codes / API or M3U URL, depending on what your provider gave you.
Enter your server URL, username, and password, or paste the M3U link.
Save and wait for channels and EPG to load.
